EMS nominated as a candidate for the Emergo Innovation Award 12 September 2019
EMS is nominated with its ammonia sensor, a gas sensor which measures ammonia molecules in air. It is a simple tool for farmers, government and advisors for monitoring the emission of ammonia and based on the results take measures in the livestock process (Growing animals). This is the first sensor that is robust, low-cost and able to measure multiple compartments, with the goal for improvement of society, and provide a simple tool for the decrease of the national problem of nitrogen deposition.
The Zeeland Innovation Award Emergo is awarded annually to the Zeeland entrepreneur with the most appealing innovation. The aim of this prize is to stimulate and appreciate Zeeland innovation and generate awareness for Zeeland innovations inside and outside Zeeland.
Every year the Emergo prize is awarded annually to a Zeeland company that has realized a successful innovation. Students of the HZ University of Applied Sciences are conducting research into nominated innovations to provide the jury with the necessary information. The jury, chaired by deputy Jo-Annes de Bat, then also visits the five participating companies.
